Planning & Zoning

The Planning and Zoning department is located on the second floor of the City Hall building. Commercial and Residential Development as well as other types of zoning information and forms are provided here and are also available for pick up in the Planning & Zoning Office.

Streets & Garbage

The Streets and Garbage department’s objective is to provide clear and safe road conditions for the day to day use of the City`s streets. The department also serves to remove solid waste from residential areas, with safe and reliable service as the focus.

Water Department

The Water Department is a part of the Public Works Department that is located on the second floor of the City Hall Building.

The Canton Water Treatment Plant is located at 25495 N. Lakeshore Drive. Its objective is to treat and deliver a safe and potable water to Canton residents and the surrounding communities. Roughly 65% of all Fulton County residents are served by the Canton Water Treatment Plant.

Wastewater Department

The Wastewater Treatment Plant is located at 350 West Hickory Street. The Wastewater Plants objective is to provide safe and compliant practices that directly relate to water pollution control standards regarding collection, treatment and discharge of the City of Cantons wastewater stream.
