Snow Parking Ban Information

When the city of Canton receives 3 or more inches of snow, a city-wide Parking Ban goes into effect. This is done to allow snow plows full access to the streets for optimum snow removal.

When implemented, citizens must make arrangements to remove any vehicles parked on the streets, and vehicles must remain off the streets for at least 12 hours.

If a Snow Parking Ban is implemented, it will be posted on the Canton Police Department Facebook page, and local media will be notified. Citizens can also call the non-emergency Police Department phone number 309-647-5131.

Vehicles left on City streets are subject to being ticketed and/or towed per Ord. Section 9-5-2 of the Canton City Municipal Code.
