Downtown Entertainment District
The Canton Downtown Entertainment District offers a new way to experience and enjoy downtown during designated events. Visitors 21 and older can purchase a beverage from participating downtown bars and restaurants, receive a wristband and enjoy their drink while exploring the district.
The Entertainment District creates an opportunity to move between participating businesses, events, dining, shopping, and entertainment while enjoying the energy of downtown Canton. It’s designed to encourage people to spend more time downtown, discover local businesses, and enjoy events throughout the district.
Active Dates are as follows:
Friday, September 4th 11:00 AM to 12:00 AM/ Midnight
Saturday, September 26th 11:00 AM to 12:00 AM/Midnight
Entertainment District Details
- You must be 21 or older and wear an approved Entertainment District wristband while carrying an open alcoholic beverage.
- You may carry one (1) alcoholic beverage at a time from a participating business.
- Alcohol must be in an approved can or plastic cup no larger than 16 ounces. Glass containers are not permitted.
- Alcohol must be purchased from a participating Downtown Entertainment District business. You may not bring alcohol into the district from home or another business.
- Open alcoholic beverages may not be taken outside the boundaries of the Entertainment District.
- You may not carry an open alcoholic beverage into a non-participating business or a business that has chosen not to allow open beverages inside.
- Alcohol may not be consumed on streets, parking lots, parks, or green spaces, unless specifically approved as part of an activated special event.
- The Entertainment District is only active during designated events and approved dates and times. Normal City ordinances and liquor laws apply when the district is not activated.
- When leaving the Entertainment District, dispose of your approved cup in an appropriate receptacle.
