Canton Park District

The Canton Park District manages 1,403 acres of open space that is located with-in 9 different parks and its airport. The park district offers a wide range of recreational opportunities including baseball/softball, tennis, basketball, frisbee golf, golf driving range, hiking, biking, fishing, boating, skate ramp park, dog park, and more, for Canton and Fulton County residents as well as its visitors.

Big Creek Park & Pool

This park features a pool with a capacity to hold 400 bathers, a water slide, pool side furniture with umbrella’s and a concession stand. Other features of this park include a recreation center for teens and seniors, frisbee golf course, dog park, skate park, walking/biking paths, playgrounds, pavilion, lighted tennis court, basketball hoops and a baseball diamond.

Lakeland Park

This park features nearly 450 acres of land and water that contains over 5 miles of hiking trails, picnic shelters, picnic areas, playgrounds, fishing opportunities, scuba diving, paddle boat rental, educational waterfowl blind, a Veteran’s Memorial and other natural areas. Just down the road to the north is the Golf Driving Range as well.

Wallace Park

This park is the operational hub of the Canton Park District and houses the Donaldson Community Center, administrative offices and maintenance facilities. The park itself offers many recreational activities; a ½ mile walking/biking trail, playground, pavilion, and ball diamond.

Ingersoll Airport

Ingersoll Airport is a general aviation airport that has two paved runways of 3900 feet and 3300 feet. It is only one of a handful of airports in the state of Illinois that is owned by a Park District.

Canton Bike Share
The Bike Share is a partnership between Graham Health System and the Canton Park District. You can rent a bike at three locations in Canton: Wallace Park, Lakeland Park, and Graham Medical Group. The bikes are available for rent during the Spring, Summer and Fall months.

Canton Lake and Campground is owned and operated by the City of Canton and offers fishing, boating, boat slips, a seasonal campground, picnic areas, hiking trails and a lake view observation deck.
