Community Needs Assessment:
In October 2024, SRPED joined forces with the Illinois Housing Development Authority (IHDA) to launch a year-long partnership to create a community revitalization strategy for the cities of Canton and Lewistown. This initiative aims to identify community strengths and address critical needs through a collaborative, data-driven approach. This assessment will serve as a key tool in securing grant funding to rehabilitate blighted and unsafe residential properties.
