The City of Canton will officially begin the Leaf Pick-up Program starting Monday, November 16, 2026.

*With the later start this year, you may see a leaf truck out in the next week, just trying to work ahead.*

The pick up schedule uses the garbage routes to define the five areas of town.

The schedule is as follows:

Nov. 16-20 Monday and Friday routes

Nov 23-27 Tuesday and Thursday routes

Nov. 30-Dec. 4 Wednesday route

Dec. 7-11 Monday and Friday routes weather permitting

December 14-18 Tuesday and Thursday routes weather permitting

Dec. 21-24 Wednesday route weather permitting

Please place leaves on the terrace where possible.  Please do not put any leaves in the street. We will pick up leaves, weather permitting, until the first snow. And please do not call for special pick ups. Crews do not have time to stray from the schedule.

As an alternative, residents can bag and dispose of leaves at the Landscape Waste Facility at the end of W. Cedar Street, which is open daily, dawn to dusk. Note that leaves in plastic bags must be opened and emptied as only biodegradable products can be disposed of at that facility.

If you have any questions please call the Public Works Department – 647-5022.
