NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the City of Canton Illinois that the tentative annual budget for fiscal year beginning May 1, 2026 and ending April 30, 2027 will be on file and conveniently available for public inspection at the City Clerk’s Office, 2 North Main Street, Canton Illinois from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. beginning on or before April 9, 2026. A copy will also be available on the City of Canton’s website at www.cantonillinois.org.

PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that a public hearing on said tentative annual budget will be held at 6:30 p.m. on April 21, 2026, at 50 N. 4th Avenue, Canton IL 61520.

All interested persons are invited to attend the hearing and be heard. Written comments shall be submitted to the City Clerk, 2 N. Main Street, Canton, IL 61520 (or via e-mail to awalters@cantoncityhall.org) and received by 5:00 p.m. on April 20, 2026 in order to be considered at the public hearing.
