The Canton Fire and Police Commission is accepting applications for new police officers to create a hiring list for the Canton Police Department.

Applications can also be picked up in the Mayor’s Office, 2 N. Main Street, M-F from 8am – 5pm.

Application deadline is Monday, August 19, 2026 and can be mailed or delivered in person, or can be emailed to ckohler@cantoncityhall.org.

Testing will be conducted on Saturday, August 27 beginning at 8:00am in the lower level of Canton City Hall. This will consist of a written exam and an oral interview.
