The Canton Fire and Police Commission is accepting applications for new officers as well as experienced officers for testing to create a hiring list for the Canton Police Department.

The application packet for new candidates can be downloaded to print here. Applications for experienced, certified officers can be downloaded to print here. Applications can also be picked up in the Mayor’s Office, 2 N. Main Street, M-F from 8am – 5pm.

Applications must be filed by Friday, August 23 and can be mailed or delivered in person, or can be emailed to ckohler@cantoncityhall.org.

Testing will be conducted on Saturday, September 7, 2024 beginning at 8:00am. This will consist of a written exam and an oral interview, followed by the physical ability POWER test for new officer candidates only.
