Canton’s annual Clean Up Days will be held September 8-12 this year. This allows residents of Canton to bring one vehicle load of unwanted items that are too large for regular trash pickup to the City Street Garage, 520 W. Locust Street, and dispose of them into dumpsters for free.

City staff will be on hand to check photo IDs for city residency.

The hours are as follows:

Tuesday, September 8 through Friday, September 11 will be 8:00am -5:30pm.

Saturday, September 12 will be from 9am – 1pm.

Items that cannot be accepted include electronics, computers or monitors, televisions, tires, oil and paint, appliances, or excessive amounts of construction materials.

The City does also have a Bulk Item Pickup program year-round that will pick up large items from the curb for $10 each.
