Our mission is to create community partnerships, business opportunities, and implement programs and projects that foster growth and development. SRPED is also focused on Marketing & Tourism in Fulton County, and is a partnering organization on several of the events throughout the year in Canton, IL and Fulton County. New Tourism Grant Opportunity
The Spoon River Partnership for Economic Development is pleased to announce the launch of the Beyond Local Grant, a new tourism microgrant program designed to support projects that attract out-of-town visitors and strengthen Canton’s tourism economy.
Beginning August 1, 2025, eligible organizations and businesses can apply for $1,000 microgrants to fund events, marketing campaigns, or tourism-related projects that bring in visitors from 40 miles or more outside the area. The program’s goal is to increase overnight hotel stays, local business activity, and regional visibility for Canton.
